Around Genoa
When one thinks of Genoa, the sea comes to mind, the origin of the fortune of one of the most important maritime republics of the Middle Ages. The favorable position has allowed La Superba to be open to the world of commercial exchanges with every corner of the Mediterranean, and at the same time to be inaccessible by land as it is protected by the mountains, with the few access points manned by forts, bastions and castles.
These mountains that surround it were once inhabited by shepherds and farmers, who led a frugal existence; today they are the destination for people who want to spend a day outdoors a few steps from home, with the sun on their faces and the sea visible on the horizon.
