Cinque Terre National Park
Cinque Terre National Park
Perhaps the place of contrasts symbolic of a region.
On the one hand the sea, which laps with its color a jagged coast, rich in cliffs and overhangs, where once fishermen villages peek out; on the other hand, the hills, where farmers have tried to shape a harsh and constantly eroding land over the millennia to have a livelihood.
In this vast territory, which remained indifferent, hidden and suspicious of the changes in the contemporary world at least until the postwar period, it is easy to be amazed while looking at the work of human ingenuity that coexists with nature.
