Portofino Regional Nature Park

Portofino Regional Nature Park

About 25 km from Genoa there is a promontory that, seen from the sea, resembles a castle, with the walls formed by steep multilayer walls that plunge into the sea, interrupted by some entrances consisting of small landings; its towers are built from blocks of conglomerate that rise steeply towards the sky, surrounded by a vegetation rich in biodiversity, from which you can enjoy a superb panorama.

This place of particular wildlife and environmental interest has been protected since the third decade of the 1900s, allowing man to manage his spaces without altering the fragile balance created by mother nature.

In this section we will propose some excursions to the enchanting promontory of Portofino, once even chosen by the governors of the Maritime Republic of Genoa as a place to rest in peace in the shadow of the Mediterranean scrub, where the land borders the sky and the sea.
