In this article we propose one of the most beautiful excursions in all of Liguria, but to do it without problems you need to wear high boots and be dressed properly, because often in this area the cold winter wind blows violently.

If you want to increase your safety, in addition to the poles, bring some ice crampons.

The Beigua Park is beautiful in all seasons, each of which will give the visitor different colors, sensations and scents, but perhaps in the winter it has that something extra that you will hardly find anywhere else.

Once we left the car in the parking lot near the restaurant "La Nuvola sul mare" at the Faiallo pass, we entered the woods and continued following the signs for Monte Argentea.

At one point the forest gave way to a vast meadow, used in summer for grazing herds.
At the next crossroads we took the path on the left which continued slightly uphill, bordering somewhere with large boulders covered with ice.

Once on top of the hill, the path makes its way into a sweet plateau covered with rime of the strangest shapes. We finally arrived at the refuge and Mount Argentea, where the view of the Ligurian coast and the sea was a dream.

To return to the car and close the ring we took the Alta via dei monti liguri, which continues along the ridge line and touches Mount Reixa, from which you can enjoy an excellent view of Genoa and its port, and is the point where the chain of the Alps (remember that the Beigua geologically belongs to the Alps) is closest to the sea.

Walking on the snow-covered paths with a sea view after a heavy snowfall is truly satisfying: under a completely blue sky, immersed in meadows and woods covered by snow where silence reigns, time seems to stop and the heart seems lighter, while we forget for a moment of the thoughts and problems of our existence.
